Scott Sinclair

Prior to starting SES Consulting Inc., Scott was a managing partner in a design build mechanical contracting firm, where he developed expertise in construction cost analysis and practical implementation. Scott is a Mechanical Engineer with a background in HVAC systems, mechanical contracting and building automation. Scott has a passion for implementing strategies that will directly reduce our impact on global warming.

Brad White

P.Eng, MASc

Principal

Brad has four years of experience working with energy systems as a researcher and mechanical engineer. His work has focused on seeking ways to improve the sustainable use of energy through conservation and improved efficiency. Prior to joining SES Consulting Inc., Brad helped develop new manufacturing techniques for clean energy technologies as a master’s student and research engineer at UBC.

Natalie Vadeboncoeur

P.Eng, MASc, LEED AP

Energy Efficiency Engineer

Natalie received her B.Sc. from the University of Illinois and her M.A.Sc. from UBC, both in Mechanical engineering. Her post-graduate research work involved developing and testing a method for enhancing efficiency in sawmills in order to reduce demand for raw material. She is the co-founder of Emerging Green Builders of UBC, an organization that provides students with educational opportunities in different aspects of green building.

Justin Blanchfield

Energy Efficiency Engineer

Justin Blanchfield has 5 years of combined research and consulting experience in renewable energy systems and energy efficiency.   Justin obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University and a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria. Particular areas of expertise include energy efficient building systems, ocean energy resource assessment, and hydrodynamic modelling.

Autumn has been participating in energy conservation projects since infancy, having been raised in a solar-heated, wind-powered, off-grid home.  He received an honours BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1995, and has wide experience in fields including mechanical and electronic design, information technology, project management, and systems optimization.

In addition to his part-time work at SES, Rob is a co-founder of Vancouver Renewable Energy, where he provides consulting and project management services for renewable energy systems.  As part of the role, he helped initiate and complete the first grid-tie photovoltaic install in the Vancouver.  Prior to that, he owned an IT consulting firm which provided services throughout North America.

Harry Rajput

Engineering Technologist

Harry graduated with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from British Colombia Institute of Technology and joined the SES team soon after graduation. Harry’s areas of expertise include energy conservation, HVAC systems design, building environmental controls and energy management programs as well as plumbing and fire protection system design. Combined with his knowledge and keen interest in energy conservation, Harry hopes to advance his career in the field of energy management.

Adriana Barton

Communications Advisor

Adriana is a reporter at The Globe and Mail who provides advice on communications and strategic direction to SES. A former cellist, she began her journalism career with a Montreal Mirror cover story that exposed the link between lawn-care pesticides and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She has launched travel magazines, contributed to book series and attended the Aga Khan Awards for Architecture as a guest journalist in India and Syria. Her work has appeared in enRoute, Azure, Western Living, Utne and Granville magazine, where she wrote a column on sustainable living.

Darla Simpson

B.Sc.

Darla comes to SES with 10 years experience in sustainability training and design of occupant engagement programs. For the 7 years prior to joining SES she worked as the founding Executive Director of the Elements Society. She has a B.Sc. in Environmental Conservation Sciences from the University of Alberta with a focus on Environmental Economics and Policy.

Darla’s work with SES includes project management, design and evaluation of building occupant engagement strategies, communications, outreach and administration.

Franco Silletta

Energy Efficiency Engineer

Franco graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Victoria. During his degree, he completed three work terms in the energy efficiency field – two with SES Consulting Inc., and one with BC Hydro Power Smart Engineering.  Franco is excited to contribute to energy savings across his home province of British Columbia. He also has experience in the trades and contract management.

Chris Goodchild

Energy Efficiency Engineer

Chris has four years of combined work experience with building systems, fuel cells and oil & gas. He graduated with distinction with a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia which included a study abroad at the University of Western Australia.  His work in various engineering sectors has given him a unique perspective of the urgent need to implement clean energy efficiency solutions for ageing infrastructure, especially in existing buildings. Through his work experience, Chris has been involved with various clean energy projects that include heat recovery, solar thermal and ground-source heat pumps.

Nicole Cook

B.Sc., LEED Green Associate

Nicole Cook has over six years of Project Management experience in a variety of fields. Nicole’s mandate is to facilitate and expedite projects focused on the conservation of energy and improved energy efficiency in new and existing buildings.

Recently Nicole completed the LEED Green Associate exam, and is focusing on contributing to environmentally friendly buildings, construction and management practices.

As the Previous Chair of the Vancouver Chapter, Nicole has been an active volunteer with the BC Sustainable Energy Association for over six years, to raise awareness of energy and environmental issues in our community.
