The 6th annual EarthWork Day was another great success! Forty volunteers from SES Consulting, Yardi and Recollective participated in the event. Every year, SES grants our staff a day to volunteer in the community to make a positive impact on the people and places that surround us. Five teams led a variety of activities across the city. These ranged from restoring the habitat for a native butterfly with the Wild Bird Trust foundation to building a lighting display for the soon to open RePurpose store. RePurpose is a non-profit on the North Shore that will be selling reclaimed home materials to help divert construction waste from the landfill.

Over the years, we’ve built partnerships with local organizations to help them with activities on this special day. We’ve had great feedback and they’re always glad to have us back! Whether it’s building garden beds for a social housing site or educating Grade 5 students on the importance of environmental responsibility, EarthWork Day is a great way to connect with our peers, our community, and our local environment. Check out our Facebook page for more on our EarthWork Day activities. We’re already looking forward to next year!
