EarthWork Day 2026
SES Consulting Inc, alongside AES Engineering, MOTIV Architects, RJC Engineers, Vancouver Solar Energy (VREC), and First Light Energy, marked the annual EarthWork Day with a collaborative volunteer effort across three community projects.
At the Tsleil-Waututh Nation Food Sovereignty Project in North Vancouver, volunteers harvested produce and enhanced the community garden by building and preparing beds, installing a poly tunnel, and mulching to support future growth.
At the same time, the BC Housing (Hall Towers – Burnaby) team assembled and installed raised garden beds, layering them with woodchips and soil to create new planting spaces, with remaining work to be completed by future volunteers.
The volunteers at Everett Crowley Park focused on removing invasive species and cleaning up the site to support ecosystem restoration. The park itself has a unique history—it was once a reclaimed landfill that served as the city’s main garbage dump (Kerr Road Landfill) from 1944 to 1967, making today’s stewardship efforts especially meaningful.
Across all three sites, EarthWork Day showcased the power of collaboration and shared purpose. By combining resources, expertise, and enthusiasm, SES Consulting Inc and its partners—AES, MOTIV, RJC, VREC, and First Light Energy—demonstrated how collective action can create tangible, positive change. The event not only supported local food systems and green spaces but also made a meaningful impact through hands-on environmental stewardship and community support.
