Vancouver’s Iconic Arthur Erickson Place Achieves Zero Carbon Building – Performance Standard™ Certification
Very exciting to see one of our buildings officially attaining CAGBC Net zero building performance certification. The Arthur Erickson Place building is a commercial office building located in downtown Vancouver. The building has a 3-year plan to achieve net zero that includes energy efficiency and controls upgrades, heat recovery chillers, air source heat pumps, and electric boilers.
We are currently in Year 2 of the implementation plan. This building was also part of a full domestic hot water electrification project in 2021. The success of that project helped get buy-in and set the stage for zero-building planning. You can read more about the domestic hot water electrification case study HERE and the zero-building certification HERE
